Sometimes we hold onto people, places, things and ideas that no longer serve us, FAR longer than we need to….

For me, understanding, pinpointing and accepting what these things/people/places are, is the most difficult part. I’ll come up with every excuse to tip-toe around the fact that maybe what used to be good for me, just isn’t anymore.

“Longer Than You Know” speaks to the understanding and acceptance of personal truths and the decision to uphold loyalty to ourselves, our lives, our goals and our growth.

"Longer Than You Know" is the 4th track off of "Garden Street: The Upside"

For me,
In my mind,
It’s running all the time,

I thought it’s what I wanted,
But I’m not really sure,
It’s something that I’ve needed,
Longer than you know,
I turn my porch light on it,
Release the hounds again,
Impersonating calm,
Longer than you know…

From beneath,

I thought it’s what I wanted,
But I’m not really sure,
It’s something that I’ve needed,
Longer than you know,
I piece it all together,
Bring back my holidays,
Sit quietly and ponder,
Longer than you know…

It happens all the time,

I thought its what I wanted,
But now I’m really sure,
No more back-handed questions,
Show them how you’ve grown,
I speak my truth in all the,
Ways they can hear me in,
Get what I really wanted,
Longer than you know…

“Settle in the space between, It’s where the flowers like to grow.”

Exploring the complexity of life choices, Warren Thomas Fenzi challenges any clear line between generalities, inner truth and self doubt. Suspended, he peers into a looking glass, exploring the possibility that what we believe to be legitimate and authentic, may not be so. ... more
