The pitter-patter of rain, heard and felt through the screen of the back porch. The sweet, wafting smell of the creasote bush, filling the air.
I LIVED for days like this.
Days where it almost seemed like mother-nature was saying with a smile, "It's ok, you can take it easy."
Days where the sun would hide and the darkness would bring a sense of calm and healing.
Monsoon season in the desert.
Inspired by the bitter-sweet nostalgia that is memory, "Summer Wading" is an ode to the beauty that is growing up and finding true gratitude towards the root. Your root.
Having grown-up in Arizona, It seemed right to start our journey here.
Track 1 from the album, "Live in the Atrium" by Warren Thomas Fenzi.
lyrics
Breathing soft,
The rain,
Holding on,
Summer came,
Then fall,
Seeking words,
To tell,
Of passing time,
We knew,
So well…
Summer Wading,
Birthed within the elegance,
Caller waiting, stoned,
Now fall is fading,
Passed between the episodes,
Of ages born to gold…
Breathing soft,
The days,
Holding on,
To all the ways,
We’ve loved,
Seeking words,
To tell,
Acts unwind,
Infused,
So well…
Summer Wading,
Birthed within the elegance,
Caller waiting, stoned,
Now fall is fading,
Passed between the episodes,
Of ages born to gold…
Summer Wading,
Birthed within the elegance,
Caller waiting, stoned,
Fall is fading,
Passed between the episodes,
Of everything we’ve known.

“Settle in the space between, It’s where the flowers like to grow.”
Exploring the
complexity of life choices, Warren Thomas Fenzi challenges any clear line between generalities, inner truth and self doubt. Suspended, he peers into a looking glass, exploring the possibility that what we believe to be legitimate and authentic, may not be so....more
